BSU already up 14-0 in the 1st

Idaho is TERRIBLE

I'm sure that they would fit right in in the Big Sky.

Broncos are looking like a championship caliber team, that's for sure.

EWU got a little face time right before halftime... they mentioned that Kellen Moore was offered by Idaho, Boise State, and EWU, and gave a little name drop for the Inferno. :D

The announcers just mentioned how Idaho could possibly drop down and be an "FCS power" but will probably stay where they are.

This is the problem (or at least part of it). The WAC makes Boise play on Thursday or Friday night, and they get their huge win, which fades from voters' ECB memories by the time Saturday's games are done.

It also gives them the chance to be the only game on TV. They get THE spot for the game, the entire natin gets to watch them.

TCU, on the other hand, has yet to play a nationally televised game. Their biggest game of the season (where they beat the then #5 BCS team Utah by 40) was only broadcast on CBS equivilent of ESPN3.

I know this has been beaten into the ground but it doesn't help either one that their schedules (BSU I would think more than TCU's) suck.

This has nothing to do with ECB. I know it's a fun term to blame all of your woes on, but it's doesn't apply here. he BCS sucks, but it has nothing to do with ECB.

By your logic there should be WCB, since the early east coast game memeories will have faded from voters memories while the late west coast games are still under way.

I agree that there schedules are lacking, but they can't help that. It's not as they have been invited to join a BCS conference and refused, they are stuck where they are. The best they could hope for is 3 or 4 early season wins over BCS teams, and that still wouldn't be enough. The system is rigged against them, it is a simple as that.

I don't disagree with that statement. I understand they can only play who is in front of them. That doesn't change *some* things though.

It's like the Pioneer League teams and the FSC playoffs. If they run their schedule should they get a seed or a spot in the playoffs?

TCU doesn't play nationally televised games because the MWC has a deal to broadcast their teams on The MTN.. which is not highly distributed.

Thank you for the clarification.

I would say TCU not playing on national TV hurts them much more than BSU playing on national TV on Thursday or Friday nights.

IMO this TV deal is a real achilles heal for the MWC. They could have done another deal but chose this route and it has obviously failed.

This.

And I thought Idaho was going to turn it around after their fluke bowl appearance last season?
