Auburn in trouble for their next game

Late in the fourth quarter today in a game vs. Georgia (Auburn pulled ahead late), TWO Auburn DLs were tossed for throwing punches. Per SEC rules, they will miss the first half of their rivalry game vs. Alabama.

This could spell trouble for Auburn's championship hopes. Either TCU or Boise (preferrably Boise) could sneak in should Auburn lose. Would the B(C)$ actually overpass them with a 1-loss team?

They still play in the SEC title game regardless so who cares. They'll beat Alabama anyway. I don't think there's a team out there this year (with Newton) that would beat Auburn.

Things are getting tight on the Newton front, too. Do you hold to that statement if the NCAA bans him this week?

Did you not read what I just posted?

Yes, I did. All it said was that you guarantee Auburn beats 'Bama if the NCAA does nothing to Newton before then. You left it up in the air if Newton was gone.

So you're saying that if Auburn traded Newton to anyone else (a la the NFL), that team wouldn't beat Auburn?

Under normal conditions, that might be so. But the mere act of suspending or even banning someone who's actually there, especially when it's a star, tends to disrupt things.

Auburn is crazy overrated. They will get mashed by an elite team. That D is as bad as any I've seen.

Like Appalachian State.

Seriously, I think Boise could stop them. Oregon definitely, though Oregon might be dropping after their mediocre win tonight.

I saw this today on Twitter:

"Auburn improved its record to 0-11." haha.

doesn't matter. They will be forfeiting these games anyway.

I'm pretty sure that is not what he meant. I think he meant that Auburn won't lose as long as Newton is in their line up.
