The absolute worst part of this is that if UW beats us in Apple Cup on Saturday they will likely being going to the Alamo Bowl at 6-6 because they would be riding a 3 game winning streak (over UCLA, Cal and WSU, the 3 worst teams in the conference) and Arizona has lost 4 in a row. Despite the weird finish with the kicker it was a fun game to watch...Burfit is an absolute head case, but is a phenomenal player. ASU could be very good next season, i think they only lose 1 starter off this team.

Yep, 1 Sr starter. And they were 1 point (Wisconsin), 1 point (USC), 3 points (Oregon State) and 4 points (Stanford) from being 10-2, all games that they led very late in the game.

Yeah, I know "speed" is thrown around loosely in college football, but other than Oregon there wasn't a faster team in the Pac-10 than ASU this season. Osweiler is exactly what they needed, Threet was by no means a bad QB but he threw way too many interceptions for ASU to be able to pull out those close games. If they can get a little more from the ground game next season (which they should be able to do, Marshall is a stud) I wouldn't be surprised to see them win the Pac-12 South next year.

I hope so, but I don't know if Erickson has that in him anymore....his teams seem too undisciplined...shooting themselves in the foot at every turn. They looked a LOT like the Griz this year...

I watched that game. I couldn't turn it off, which I needed to being on the other coast. Great game though...and a great win for the other ASU.

I only watched the first half, which was one of the most boring 30 minutes of football I've seen all year. Glad it ended on a high note!

Yeah, things definitely picked up in the 2nd half...bad choice on your part.
Then again, I went to bed at halftime of the BSU/Nevada game the other night...

don't know if I've ever seen a game end on two blocked PATs either.
though I have seen a game end on two blocked FG attempts (on consecutive plays).
man, that sucked.
