Wow. I don't think I've EVER seen a game end on TWO blocked PAT's. This rivals BSU's kicker missing two chip shots. UA's kicker got the game winning PAT blocked with .21 left in the game, then got the game tying PAT blocked in the 2nd OT to hand the ballgame to ASU....

The absolute worst part of this is that if UW beats us in Apple Cup on Saturday they will likely being going to the Alamo Bowl at 6-6 because they would be riding a 3 game winning streak (over UCLA, Cal and WSU, the 3 worst teams in the conference) and Arizona has lost 4 in a row. Despite the weird finish with the kicker it was a fun game to watch...Burfit is an absolute head case, but is a phenomenal player. ASU could be very good next season, i think they only lose 1 starter off this team.

Yep, 1 Sr starter. And they were 1 point (Wisconsin), 1 point (USC), 3 points (Oregon State) and 4 points (Stanford) from being 10-2, all games that they led very late in the game. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Yeah, I know "speed" is thrown around loosely in college football, but other than Oregon there wasn't a faster team in the Pac-10 than ASU this season. Osweiler is exactly what they needed, Threet was by no means a bad QB but he threw way too many interceptions for ASU to be able to pull out those close games. If they can get a little more from the ground game next season (which they should be able to do, Marshall is a stud) I wouldn't be surprised to see them win the Pac-12 South next year.

I hope so, but I don't know if Erickson has that in him anymore....his teams seem too undisciplined...shooting themselves in the foot at every turn. They looked a LOT like the Griz this year... :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

I watched that game. I couldn't turn it off, which I needed to being on the other coast. Great game though...and a great win for the other ASU.

I only watched the first half, which was one of the most boring 30 minutes of football I've seen all year. Glad it ended on a high note!

Yeah, things definitely picked up in the 2nd half...bad choice on your part.

Then again, I went to bed at halftime of the BSU/Nevada game the other night... :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

don't know if I've ever seen a game end on two blocked PATs either.
though I have seen a game end on two blocked FG attempts (on consecutive plays).
man, that sucked.
