Neither. The first row of regular seats is ground level, so putting seats on the track or field would make it impossible to see anything. Remember that boxing/wrestling is elevated so people can actually see from the floor. The rink is ground level and has 3' boards around to boot. The seating for this event is going to such as it is. It will be more akin to NASCAR where the best seats are higher up.SuperHornet wrote:So do they rig on-the-field seats like some stadia do for boxing/wrestling, or do they just make do with organic seating?
Ah, OK. Sounds good. Your last sentence may prove prescient given the distance those seats are from the rink.89Hen wrote:Neither. Is that better than the equivalent seat on the other side?89Hen wrote:If I could pick any seat in the stadium, it would probably be right at the top of the M.
Was really just talking height. The better side would be the one with the penalty boxes as there will be less obstucting your view, but not much of a difference.SuperHornet wrote:Is that better than the equivalent seat on the other side?
Its been sold out since MaySuperHornet wrote:So do they rig on-the-field seats like some stadia do for boxing/wrestling, or do they just make do with organic seating? Can you imagine 125K for a hockey game? I don't know if they can get a full house for this, but it would be neat if they could.

109,901

well they top all of those game with a final attendance of 113,411clenz wrote:109,901 is still the official capacity, as that is the number of seats. However 113,090 was the attendance for the Sept 4 game against UCONN.
The top 5 football games at Michigan Statdium are 113,090 (vs. UCONN 2010), 113,065 (vs. MSU 2010), 112,784 (vs. Iowa 2010), 112,118 (vs OSU 2003), 111,941 (vs OSU 2007). The 10th largest crowd is still over 111K
