Did you just draw that with MS Paint?SuperHornet wrote:Those socks are vaguely reminiscent of the Orlando Thunder unis, and not in a good way.
Next time, try this new internet service called Google. It's a funny name, but it works pretty well.SuperHornet wrote:I did not. It's the best I could find on short notice.
Once again, I didn't draw that. I'm not that good. It was just a site I found on a Yahoo! search. But I did remember the flourescent lime green because I was at the first game. I was in Nuclear Field "A" School at the time, which was co-located with my boot camp in Orlando. I'm still steamed that the Navy shut down all Orlando and San Diego boot camp operations, leaving the Great Mistakes.93henfan wrote:Holy **** sticks, SH. How did you have visual recall of a team that played two seasons in the early 90s in the WLAF?
I'm impressed in a weird sort of way.
So you had access to a nuclear reactor at some point in time?SuperHornet wrote:Once again, I didn't draw that. I'm not that good. It was just a site I found on a Yahoo! search. Apparently they came to their senses and made him an RPS, instead.93henfan wrote:So you had access to a nuclear reactor at some point in time?SuperHornet wrote:

NFAS is where one learns one's base rating in the Nuclear Power program. There are three of them: Electronics Technician, Electrician's Mate, and Machinist's Mate. I was in the longer ET program. I was kicked out with six weeks left until graduation (bad grades) and went to my first ship [USS HALSEY (CG-23)] in the deck department. While there, I was afforded the opportunity to strike for RP (that is, train for it). I got to attend RP "A" School (then at Naval Technical Training Center Meridian, MS, now at Fort Jackson, SC), then went to Marine Combat Training (which doesn't happen anymore), leading to my spending almost the entirety of my remaining time in the Navy serving Marines.Grizalltheway wrote:Apparently they came to their senses and made him an RPS, instead.93henfan wrote:

They consoidated us at Camp Geiger (@ Lejeune) even though it would have made more sense to send ME to Pendleton since my ultimate orders were to Pendleton to begin with. I guess it was something of a tradeoff, though. At Geiger, we got continually bit by all sorts of bugs. Pendleton is eternal hills. Not sure which I would have liked better. I'll never forget, though, my bunkmate faceplanting the concrete deck from the top rack in the squad bay in the middle of the night. That was crazy.93henfan wrote:Wow, you went to MCT? When? Lejeune or Pendleton?
