Temple is going to hire Florida OC Addazio to replace Al Golden. Hopefully he works out as well as Dan Mullen has for Miss. St, another former Gators OC. I'm surprised to hear Bradley of Penn State interviewed & didn't get it.....

Dude. It's Temple. It's not like Bear Bryant is fixing to rise from the dead to coach them or anything.

Yeah. I'm sure Stanford, Wake Forest, and Rutgers fans are glad their AD's never believed a quality coach could elevate their football programs. But, Temple obviously has a defeatist outlook. Sad, really.

"Eh. We're Temple. We'll never be able to compete with the big boys. Never mind what Jim Harbaugh, Jim Grobe, Greg Schiano, etc. have done to ressurect shitty programs. We're Temple... no need to find an up-and-coming head coach... let's just phone it in. Florida's offensive coordinator is available? Awesome! That SOUNDS like we give a shit. Let's go with him."

They obviously don't think that. Al Golden was just their coach. He took them from 0'fer to bowl eligible and now he's off to The U. They fully understand what one guy can do. My point was that very few people would want to go coach there. It's not like they're selecting from the cream of the crop. They'll take what they can get. Guys who want to be all they can be aren't exactly knocking down the doors of non-BCS conference schools.

You do realize that Temple was booted out of the Big East (a BCS conference), and the three guys you mentioned are BCS conference coaches? Temple can't compete with the big boys. They went 8-4 this year, beat BCS bowl bound UConn and weren't invited to a bowl.

There is no comparison between Temple and Stanford/Wake Forest/Rutgers.
