Absolute killer. Can't imagine another team going through that juggernaut of a conference.

My vote is BI'm not sure which it proves:
a) the SEC is a brutal conference
b) The Big 10 is a **** joke.
Well, there were three 7-1 Big 10 teams this year... and one of them is getting embarrassed 42-0. Not sure why you're sold on Wisco and OSU... but not Michigan State. I mean, Michigan State did beat Wisconsin...FargoBison wrote:The only good Big 10 teams are Wisconsin and Ohio State.

Until the QB play at Carolina improves they won't get over the hump (I've watched Garcia since high school). FSU kicking 4 FGs kept SC in that game. The SEC east was way down this year, granted SC was probably the best team in that division. Lattimore going down was BIG. Tennessee choked plain and simple. Richt has only one year left due to that debacle. Next year I think the East is going to be way more competitive. The worst case scenario would be that Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee barely improve, in which case South Carolina wins it again. South Carolina is a very young team and rumor has it that Clowney, the nation's #1 recruit, will probably go there (and bring 2 or 3 more All-State players with him) and improve their abysmal defense. Georgia has the talent to win the east next year, if they don't Richt will probably be out of there. Florida could be at the same level this year or better. I have no idea about Tennessee.
Alabama is a better team than their record they could easily be undefeated. Michigan St got blown out at Iowa. They look like that team today.Well, there were three 7-1 Big 10 teams this year... and one of them is getting embarrassed 42-0. Not sure why you're sold on Wisco and OSU... but not Michigan State. But, Wisconsin did put up 83 on Indiana and 70 on Northwestern... so, they're probably legit.
I've watched the Big 10 all year, Michigan State is decent but also a bit lucky. Iowa absolutely destroyed them, MSU didn't even show up for that game and that is why I have always thought they were a pretender since. Great teams don't lose 37-6 to teams like Iowa.Skjellyfetti wrote:Well, there were three 7-1 Big 10 teams this year... and one of them is getting embarrassed 42-0. exactly, but because they've had Lattimore he's been relieving the pressure off of Garcia and thus Garcia is needed only to be a game manager, had Lattimore played outside of the first few plays they win that game yesterday. I among others was surprised we never saw Shaw. If Carolina gets Clowney, Lattimore stays healthy, and Spurrier doesn't call stupid plays (which did cost SC at least 1 or 2 games) they are my pick to win the east and quite possibly win the SEC next year.tampajag wrote:Until the QB play at Carolina improves they won't get over the hump (I've watched Garcia since high school). Honestly the East was at the same level it's been at for a while with the exception of Florida coming back to the pack.
I'm biased but I think they still lose with Lattimore. I could take the same angle with Ponder being out (although Manuel is a very good QB)exactly, but because they've had Lattimore he's been relieving the pressure off of Garcia and thus Garcia is needed only to be a game manager, had Lattimore played outside of the first few plays they win that game yesterday. I agree with that Bama or LSU could easily be in Auburn's place with Arkansas close behind. And with MSU finally having an offense unlike the Croom years, they'll be dangerous as well. Lots of talent in Mississippi. The SEC West is probably the best division in football. Mississippi State, the 5th place SEC West team whose only losses are to SEC West teams, is hammering Michigan just as good or better than any of those Big 10 Champions did. With Bama smacking around MSU it's clear that the Big 10 has a long way to go.
Doubtful. IF they lose, it will be by less than 5.Pwns wrote:Ohio State is going to get curb stomped
Iowa lost to Minnesota who lost to South Dakota....youngterrier wrote:MSU is a team that struggled against teams with good defense. Iowa was better than their record, but at the same time MSU shouldn't have laid an epic egg as they did
