UConn Looks to Whipple

Former UMass head coach Mark Whipple is apparently the front runner for the vacant UConn football job...
That may be a small problem, though, as UConn athletic director Jeff Hathaway has gone through the process of deciding between Whipple and former Syracuse coach Paul Pasqualoni.

Once Hathaway made his final decision, he was expected to offer his choice a five-year contract similar to the $1.5 million per year deal that former UConn coach Randy Edsall had before taking the job at the University of Maryland on Jan. 2. A deal with Whipple could be finished as soon as Thursday afternoon.

You of all people should know how good Mike is, TJ. He has the best offensive mind in the game today.
