The season's just a month away (First Pitch Friday is February 18), but for the Ivy League schools it's six weeks away, but still... I'm excited for it!

Fullerton's strength of schedule is rated #1 by College Baseball Mag (a blog) with games at Hawaii, LSU, TCU, Texas A&M, and the Trojan Horses (1 of 3). We also have the Tar Heels, UDub, Arizona State and 2 games of USC at home. Home and home series include: UCLA, Pepperdine, U. San Diego, Loyola Marymount. Wonder who's #2 according to that blog?
Spoiler: show
Long Beach State.
Harvard has the Beanpot against UMass and (either) Boston College or Northeastern in mid-April and games against current FCS teams Jacksonville State, Wofford, Georgia State, Bryant, (future) Mercer, Charlotte to start the season. Every weekend of April and the first of May is all Ivy play. After winning the division crown, we go on to the ILCS (if we ever get there at all) and the winner of the ILCS gets the very first ticket on the Road to Omaha.

Sac State just got a new baseball coach and he went to work and immediately landed a class full of talent. No idea how all the WAC changes will affect baseball but at least progress has been made on the recruiting trail.

We open up with a 3 game series with cal-davis on Feb 18th.

Open up with a series against UM-Eastern Shore in Forest City, NC. McNair Field is a fantastic place to watch a game.

We also have a 3-game road series against The U, home series against Cornell and La Salle and weekday games against UNC, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Radford, ETSU, etc.

The SoCon got 3 teams in the tourney last year including two #2-seeds. I expect more of the same this year as App, GSU, El Cit, CofC, Elon and WCU all have a shot at going to the tourney.

We held our Blue/White game on Sunday. It wasn't too bad, good to see the team out there. Today is a doubleheadre
against the Towson Tigers today at noon and then G-Webb at 4pm. I'm not sure of the score of the first game. I might be heading to the CSU game tomorrow. A freind of mine has a younger brother that plays for CSU. He's not too bad, he's being scouted but he's so small I doubt he'll get much notice.

Fullerton's home opener was washed out today. Tomorrow at 1 pm we will play UNC should the weather clears. If it's not, then the UNC game will be cancelled and the Dirtbags series will be moved indefinitely.

StonyBrook still has a week to go. We open Friday night the 25th at Florida Atlantic in a 3 game series. Then play 3 against North Carolina. We will also be playing in the Bo Jangles Tournament hosted by Winthrope along with Michigan. Pretty good schedule this year with Seton Hall, Army , Fordham and Rhode Island. The "Brook" is picked to win the America East and return to the CWS regionals this season.

Fullerton split today's games. We fought till the end against UNC but lost to them in 11 innings, 4-3. During the 8th inning, a rain delay occurred. We beat the Dirtbags 2-1 in the nightcap. Another rain delay occurred during that game.

In Cal's final baseball season (for now), they haven't even played a single pitch! Rain has postponed all of their games thus far.

TXST had a non winner tournament
won 2/3 against Nebraska 7-2 and Air Force 9-4
lost to Missouri State 12-8 - hitting went south there after the 3rd inning

Washington State was also in the tourney but as there were 9 games we only played 3 and did not take on WSU.

I think that it was probably UW that played in your tournament, we opened up with a 3 game series against Cal-State Bakersfield this past weekend (taking 2 of 3).

yeah, I just assumed without really checking. It was UW. Sad thing is I was there 2 of the 3 TXST games and saw them getting warmed up on the sidelines but didn't pay attention. I even have the program :ohno:

It could get ugly this weekend as Delaware travels to Tempe, AZ to take on the #9 ranked Sun Devils in a 4-game set.
