CCU swept the Caravelle Resort Invitational beating

Ball State 11-1 on 3/4
Marshall 4-2 on 3/5
and Ball State yesterday 10-2

CCU is now 7-4

Forgot to update Swept San Diego (2-0) and got swept by Pepperdine (3-0) out West.

CCU's not so great this year.

It's been a rough start to the season. Lots of ups and downs.

CCU rallied to defeat The Citadel 6-5. Tommy LaStella had a 2 out, 2RBI double off the wall to give CCU the lead in the top of the 9th and then Josh Conway nailed down the win.

CCU is now 14-8 and that is their 8th straight win over The Citadel.

CCU lost 2/3 (13-2 W, 3-2 L, 7-6 L in 12) to UNC-A to end their conference winning streak at 36 straight games I believe; dating back to 2009.

CCU lost to the Texas Rangers 6-2, but our pitchers only gave up 2 runs in the 5 innings they pitched.

CCU swept Liberty at home (17-1, 5-4, 5-4).

CCU lost to Clemson on the road 5-4 on some bad outfield defense in the 9th inning and some bad bad bad calls in the 10th.

CCU is now 18-11 (4-2).

CCU is now (21-11, 7-2) after sweeping Presbyterian 7-1, 15-3, and 5-2.

Coastal gets runners on 1st & 3rd with 1 out on UNCW, but only manage 1 run to shave the lead to 3-2. Stephen Davis came in for Haney and got the fly out to center (Pope had some difficulty with it, but wouldn't have been able to peg the runner at home), then managed to pick off a Coastal runner after he got him leaning towards second to end the inning. Great job by the freshman southpaw.

CCU is now 26-15 (11-4) after losing 2/3 to a bad High Point team on the road this weekend and before that they gave up 3 in the 9th to lose 8-7 to #1 UVA, swept Gardner Webb, lost to UNC 8-3 in a midweek game and beat the Citadel 7-4.

Got busy moving to Myrtle Beach. CCU won the regular season title and conference title. Went to the Clemson Regional and went 1-2. UCONN advanced out of the regional.

Got busy with life and career change.
