What are the odds that the next coach at OSU is Eric Wolford?
(And Tressel gets his old job back?)

I didn't know how corrupt Youngstown State was under him...
Fuck their 4 national championships. They get no respect from me any more.

I've heard these rumors for years, but was always told I (and the person I've heard them from) were full of shit.....I think the person I learned them from just got a whole lot of credibility.

Gee.....this situation sounds familiar
"Professing a lack of awareness isn't usually the way to get ahead, but it has helped Tressel at key moments in his career. As coach at Youngstown (Ohio) State in the mid-1990s, he claimed not to know that his star quarterback had received a car and more than $10,000 from a school trustee and his associates -- even though it was later established in court documents that Tressel had told the player to go see the trustee

Tressel- what a f*cking crook
OSU sounds like the renegade Miami program of the mid 80s-early 90s. I hope the NCAA drops the hammer on them.

It saddens me to now know that the team who ended The Citadel's greatest season in school history in 1992 in the playoffs has turned out to be dirty. Where would our program be now if we had won?

At the book’s outset and at its best, authors James Miller and Tom Shales document how a group of businessmen and entrepreneurs built a multibillion-dollar TV network from the foundation of broadcasting tape-delayed college football games and live NCAA tournament basketball games.
NCAA shamateurism birthed the self-proclaimed Worldwide Leader in Sports.
It should come as no surprise that in 2011, even with big-time college athletics grotesquely sick with corruption incubated by the lie of amateurism, no major media outlet will mount a serious, consistent call for an overhaul of NCAA rules.
We owe our existence to the exploitation of shamateur football and basketball players. We must support the lie.

Luke Fickell will restore some honor and pride to that program. Of course, I was glad he beat Michigan 9 out of 10 times.

Not related to any of the scandals, but I still thought these quotes were pretty funny.
Despite being a heavy favorite in the national title game, the Buckeyes were routed by Florida 41-14.
A year later, Tressel guided the Buckeyes to the national championship game but lost again -- 38-24 to underdog LSU.
Florida and LSU were the underdogs going into those games?

Man, did I miss an opportunity to cash in on those or what?
