Jordan Jefferson has put Les Miles in a tricky situation.

Sure, Jefferson is just one of four LSU players interviewed Tuesday by Baton Rouge police, but the potential charging of Jarvis Landry or Josh Johns or Chris Davenport - and the suspension that likely would follow - doesn’t carry the implications that such a development in Jefferson’s case would.

LSU’s football preparations for Oregon are like a game of shadows.

There is the plan the Tigers want to polish for their Sept. 3 opener, the game plan that includes players brought in for questioning Tuesday by Baton Rouge Police.

But if Plan A includes players like quarterback Jordan Jefferson, freshman receiver Jarvis Landry, linebacker Josh Johns and offensive tackle Chris Davenport, there is evidently a Plan B, too.

This is an ugly situation in Baton Rouge, fake facebook pages, threats against both sides. Times like this I wish I was back at home.

BATON ROUGE- News 2 obtained a photo of one of the victims in Friday's bar fight where four LSU football players are implicated in the beating.

Multiple sources have identified the man in the picture as Andrew Lowery. Michael Bienvenu confirmed to News 2, he is representing the victim in the picture.

Baton Rouge police have secured arrest warrants for LSU senior quarterback Jordan Jefferson, 21, and sophomore linebacker Joshua Johns, 21, police spokesman Sgt. Don Stone said in a news release.

The arrest warrants accuse each player of committing second-degree battery, which is a felony, Stone said in the release.

“We have contacted their attorney Nathan Fisher and LSU Coach Les Miles and requested that these two individuals turn themselves in,” Stone said. “They are in the process of making those arrangements.”

Fisher said at 10:15 a.m. he is at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison with Jefferson and Johns.

LSU’s bumpy preseason hit more turbulence Thursday when the university announced that starting wide receiver Russell Shepard has been declared ineligible indefinitely.

Shepard, a junior from Houston, is expected to miss multiple games, beginning with the Sept. 3 season opener against Oregon in Arlington, Texas. Shepard was disciplined for violating an NCAA regulation
