Then....THEN....this shit....I went from not wanting to watch the game, to having hope, to turning the game off for 10 minutes, to going at least they made it close...to HOLY SHIT DID WE JUST SCORE TO GO AHEAD...to GOD DAMMIT WE FUCKING SUCK....then to...HOLY SHIT MOST EPIC THING EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

While I don't quite share your emotion to ND, I dislike Michigan more and had hoped they would lose. Oh well There is always next week.

Greatest college football game ever! Hail to the Victors.

This is one of those match ups where you want both teams to lose but I really like watching Michigan suck the last 5 years. Now if Texas was consistently average like them we'd be set

Nope. UM is going to be out to prove the same point VT was out to prove 8 days ago.

That shit is the real deal. Whoever can turn around a hapless and pathetic SDSU program can make any program world beaters. Michigan fans should be ecstatic about where their program is headed.

You have no idea.
The defense will suck this year, can't be worse than last year though, due to lack of talented depth. However, Hoke is dominating the recruiting trail, has the fan base rallied like it hasn't been in fucking years, has "Michigan Man" written all over his big loveable ass, and all kinds of awesome right now.
If anyone can turn the program back to where it should be right now, it is Hoke and Mattison.

Loved the end of that game, especially as a Michigan fan.
What the hell was up with that defense call Michigan ran on the last Notre Dame TD?? Mattison would have been the scapegoat if they didn't pull that game out. Looking at UM's schedule, they could really go undefeated into the MSU game now.
ND on the other hand will be an underdog on their homefield & staring 0-3 straight in the face.

The thing with the Michigan defense....it's still the same players that were on the field last year. Rich Rod pretty much only recruited offensive athletes, and let a retard that would make JBB and SH look like football geniuses run the defense.
There was some massive blown coverage on that play, but it wasn't for the play call i don't think.
I felt like Michigan could start the year (first 8 games) anywhere from 8-0 (not likely) to 6-2 (possible), and most likely 7-1. The OOC schedule is week, and they get NW (who hasn't looked great thus far), Purdue (looked terrible), Minnesota (terrible), and MSU in conference.
Michigan very well could be a 9 or 10 win team this year.
Likely wins:
EWU, SDSU, Purdue, Minnesota, Northwestern, Illinois
Likely losses:
Michigan State, Nebraska
Toss up:
Iowa, Ohio State
Assuming UM splits the toss ups, loses the likely losses and wins the wins....that puts them at 9-3

Denard Robinson can't do F****ing SH** in a pro style offense. He just tosses the ball in the air, and lets his receivers turn around and catch 40 yard ducks. God, I can throw like that. How miserable and pathetic was that Notre Dame pass D in the final minute? F***.
What I can't do is a run a 4.2 40 like he apparently can. Talk about game speed. Somebody get him into a fun offense and take off the handcuffs. Sheesh.

Shoelace put up over 450 yards of offense...yeah, he's really handcuffed.

Here's an article from the Detroit News about how the offense struggled thus far and why (only 89 plays run in two games) and the struggle to find an offensive identity with a West Coast coordinator and the most explosive player in CFB with denard
Ann Arbor—To put it bluntly, there's nothing about Michigan's running game against Notre Dame that left tackle Taylor Lewan — or any of the offensive linemen — could enjoy.
In the 35-31 comeback victory, while quarterback Denard Robinson accounted for 446 yard, including 108 rushing, the running backs were limited to eight carries and 10 yards.
"I'm (ticked)," Lewan said. "What do you want me to say? That's awful. That's a reflection of the offensive line. We did some good things, pass protection wasn't bad, but at the same time it isn't all about pass protection, it's about running the ball and that's a direct correlation to us."
Offensive coordinator Al Borges said the lack of production is also a direct correlation to the number of plays Michigan has run the first two games. The Wolverines had 39 plays in the weather-shortened opener and 50 plays against the Irish.
Fitz Toussaint, who started the opener and had 80 yards, was out last week with a shoulder injury. He is expected back Saturday against Eastern Michigan.
"We haven't worked our tailbacks," Borges said. "Our tailbacks would be getting more carries if we were getting more turns. I'd be more concerned if they had more carries but weren't getting the yield. In this game (against the Irish), we had a heckuva time finding a rhythm."
Borges is a pro-style coordinator but is trying to mold the offense around Robinson's strengths. This has led to what Borges calls a "hybrid" offense, which runs more out of the shotgun than he ever has and perhaps more than had been anticipated.
"We're a mixture spread and West Coast offense," Borges said. "You've got to use the skills of the quarterback … that dictates you have to be in some looks that I haven't been in as a coordinator as much. I'd like to be under center a little bit more. Not a lot more, a little bit more so we can feature our tailbacks and take the pressure off Denard."
Lewan said he's not entirely surprised how much shotgun the offense has run.
"I know it's a pro-style offense but at the same time we have a player like Denard and we have to utilize those tools," Lewan said. "Guy can run … he's a playmaker. So we need to put him in a position to make plays and we put our offense in the best position to make plays. If that's a little more shotgun … Coach Borges knows what he's doing."
