We all know about our 14-0 win in the Greeley Monsoon. But did you know about this OTHER stuff?!?

Our VB team moved into a tie for first in the Sky with a 3-0 (23, 19, 18) road win at EWU.

Our girls XC team placed second and the boys team 3rd at San Francisco State.

The boys soccer team moved into 2nd in the MPSF Pacific Division with a 2-1 win over Seattle U.

The girls soccer team is third in the Sky after a 1-0 shutout of EWU in Cheyney.

And our boys crew teams were outstanding at the Head of the Port Regatta featuring Davis and Cal. Our Open 4 with coxswain finished third (behind River City and UCD A Team). In the Open 2 without Cox, Sac A won and Sac B finished second. And in the Open 8 with Cox, Sac A won and Sac B finished 5th.

What a great weekend for the entire Hornet athletic program!!!

With this weekend's results ODU is....

6-6-2 in Women's Soccer, defeated Drexel 1-0 today....

14-0 in Field Hockey, defeated Drexel 2-1 today, and ODU is ranked #1 nationally....

5-1 in Football, defeated Rhode Island 31-23 yesterday and possibly will be ranked higher in the FCS rankings this week...

7-2 in men's soccer, defeated UNCW 3-2 last night and ranked 20th nationally....

Fall sports at ODU have an overall record of 32-9-2. :notworthy:

It's good to see the Penicheiros having a great season across the sports spectrum, too.

Well, now....PSU took a tie for first place in women's soccer with UNC (UNC had the tie breaker). I assume that Sac will go to the tournament? As for volleyball, Sac has dropped to third, with PSU and UNC in effect tied for first. This is going to be a barnburner season - we could end up with three teams tied for first. Hats off to Sac for their running teams; they've established a dynasty to lead the BSC. And rowing, yet! Do they row against the Pac-12? PSU could put together rowing teams here on the Willamette, but there's no interest.

frinq: That sorta depends on how you define "Pac-12." Certainly our crew teams row against Cal and hold their own fairly well. I just checked out last year's WIRA results and was surprised at who participated. For example, in Men's Varsity 8, the Pac-12 (I'm defining Pac-12 as THIS year's configuration) finished 4 (Wazzu), 7 (Cal), 10 (Colorado), 20 AZ St. There was no Pac-12 participation in Women's Varsity 8 D1 (the women's division split D1 off from a combined D2/D3/Club race), but in the combined race the Pac-12 had teams at 15 (Col), 16 (AZ St), or in other words DEAD LAST. Surprising here is the equality of programs (in football/hoops terms) as what we think of as D-I, D-II, D-III, and NAIA programs (and even jucos in the case of Orange County College) compete on equal terms. Too bad that can't happen in other sports....

EDIT: Those are poll results, not race results.
