...got their first ever home FBS win yesterday against UL-Lafayette. It was actually their first home win against anyone in over three years; the last home win WKU posted was in September 2008 after they beat Murray State.
Also, future CAA member Georgia State, who hadn't won any D1 games this season, beat FBS-transitional and future SunBelt member South Alabama yesterday...
SunBelt...mediocrity at its best.

don't look now but WKU is 4-4 and 2 wins away from becoming bowl eligible.

Yup - four game winning streak, all SunBelt teams.
Indiana State - middle of the road MVFC team, SunBelt champs...

True - top half of the MVFC, top third of the CAA, top third of the BSC and 3-4 SoCon teams could be serious contenders in the SB this season (and half the CAA most years)

Other than WKU obviously I can't even say with confidence who else actually in the Sunbelt.
FIU? FAU? ummmmm.....Arkansas State? The fact that I can possibly name three teams is surprising to me.

Make that 5 - 4 with their win over Florida International 10 - 9 on a last second FG and are in 3rd place in Sun Belt and one win away from bowl eligibility in their 4th season in FBS.
Onward to LSU

They are much different now than that loss to Indiana State truth be told. Thank you for the vote of confidence.

I like WKU to win by 4 TD's.

A close game might end all Bama-LSU rematch talk...

Just when WKU starts to hit their stride then this team appears

WKU can't win for losing.

Vindication at its finest. A former FCS National Champion can do serious damage to that talk if that occurs

Sadly it won't be close, hopefully none of the Hilltoppers have a surgically repaired shoulder that Tyron Mathieu can go after.

Luckily, the Hilltoppers haven't been hit too seriously with injury unlike last season.
Side note: Bobby Rainey had over 100 yards last season against the so called "blackshirts" of Nebraska. It's not like the RB can't do the job against LSU.

Of course, ODU have been plucking coaches (baseball in Finwood) and ADs from the institution (Wood Selig). j/k

I would rather beat Sun Belt teams than non-conference teams that's the only WKU can go bowling.

I've seen Rainey play the last couple of years, he's a good back. I'll just say Tiger Stadium is a weird place, it does strange things to teams.

Yeah, Tennessee is a prime example of weird things happening to teams. Maybe, WKU can use the "weirdness" to their advantage.

I always pull for everybody that plays LSU, unless it's Grambling (I have no clue what I'd do

)

It will be bigger than Appalachian State over Michigan if this miracle happens Saturday night.
