Congrats to the Northern Iowa Panthers in being an overall 6 seed in the tournament. Luckily for WKU, they are not in the bracket but on the same side. Here are some notable FCS teams in the tournament.

1 Texas vs. Texas State
Kentucky vs. Dayton
Long Beach State vs. San Diego
Delaware vs. American
Liberty vs. 8 Penn State

5 Purdue vs. Morehead State
Cincinnati vs. Samford
Albany vs. 12 Florida State
13 Minnesota vs. North Dakota State

Marquette vs. Western Kentucky (GO TOPPERS!!!!)
11 Stanford vs. Sacred Heart
Niagara vs. 6 Northern Iowa

7 USC vs. Yale
Northern Colorado vs. 10 Hawaii
15 Pepperdine vs. Missouri State
Jackson State vs. 2 Nebraska

Congrats to all FCS teams and my Lady Toppers and good luck

WKU actually has a shot to win a match. The dream will end with Illinois though.

Just like Nebraska ended the dream of the Jackson St Tigers and their 25 match win streak well they had a great season finishing 29-10 the start of something great down the road.

That's the good news. The bad news is that their next opponent is Penn State.

since it's not the football team, I can bring myself to say this:
Go Blue Hens! Here's to pulling the upset over PSU.

Elsewhere in the bracket, Nebraska was knocked out by Kansas State.
Last year, UNI was seeded #5 and lost at home in 5 sets to a 20-10 Missouri team, and everyone was all up in arms about how the Panthers were "overrated" and their seed was a joke.
This year, Nebraska was seeded #2 and lost at home in 5 sets to a 20-10 Kansas State team. So I guess the Cornhuskers are an even bigger overrated joke.

Meanwhile, UNI won their first round match against Niagara (as expected), and now move on to face a challenging Florida team.

Illinois has the best team it has had in a least fifteen years. This is Penn State's worst team in at least ten years. By the way, Illinois is a senior-heavy team. Penn State's starters are all freshmen and sophomores. Penn State is 37-9 all-time vs. Illinois.
