My thoughts exactly...this sucks.

I'm hoping for a push from UNI to the MAC if shit starts to go down hill. This is stupid.

Also, the UW-M athletics fan page twitter, @PantherU, tweeted the following at about 6:45 PM Central tonight....
@MVCfans calls have been placed to our Chancellor's office from the MVC offices. Looks like your side is putting out feelers.

UW-M or Valpo or nothing out of those listed.

Also, wouldn't mind seeing NMSU came back to the MVC for non football sports.

Old BE errr CUSA #2 will be called the American Athletic Conference, AAC, hoping people will confuse them w/ the ACC.

False...the MVC isn't even done with its visits.

This is the same place that reported Evansville to the horizon was 100 prevent done back in early December and it would be announced by Christmas

So we wait 2 weeks to hear this same thing? Difference is MVC is a step up and the MVC is expanding. HL is a step down and there is no reason to move down if you're Evansville since the HL will be even weaker and w/ Creighton gone Evansville has a better shot to compete.

Big 12 expansion options limited by ACC grant of rights
Image

If the Big 12 does decide that they want to expand, it will have to focus efforts on members of the American Athletic Conference, the former Big East that will end up housing many former members of Conference USA. With the departure of Louisville to the ACC, the number of appealing options for the Big 12 has never been lower.

Cincinnati is still on the table as a possibility, but otherwise the Big 12 would have to look into expanding into Florida or bringing back former members of the SWC like SMU or Houston.

Florida schools like Central Florida or South Florida would be appealing because they could help open up the fertile state of Florida to Big 12 recruiting efforts, but they wouldn't bring enough television money to the table to make them viable options based on what Bowlsby has been saying.

Still nothing seems they'll make a final decision by the end of May so the SoCon knows if they need a 4th school.

Oakland to the Horizon tomorrow... http://www.freep.com/article/20130506/S ... zon-league" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I heard this morning with the loss of Elon, the SOCON somehow doesn't need a 4th team.

So they want a 9/10. Is Mercer for sure going scholly? Dumb to stay below 12 now days. CAA could still take UNCG if Stony Brook continues to be blocked. This means KSU will replace VMI in the Big South. That's a nice get that the SoCon will miss out on by sitting at 10. Also remember whn the BE goes to 12, the A10 will likely add 2 replacements. If any are from the CAA, they could dip back in and take another SoCon. Same thing if JMU goes to the SBC.

Mercer is supposed to be headed to the SoCon. Stony Brook is already a football member.

Dane, whats doing on w/ AEC expansion? Are you done or are you still looking at NEC, NJIT, D-II schools.

They were supposed to go to 12 but Bryant, CCSU, and 1 other but NEC football held them hostage.
