Thanks to that, it appears that most people have no idea that the real evidence backing up Freeh’s conclusions is, given the strong language he uses, remarkably thin.

I don't believe the report was a complete hatchet job, but I feel some of Freeh's conclusions were not backed up by hard facts. Nobody disputes the information he uncovered, but mant reasonable folks do question the hard conclusions he came to from the facts at hand.
