Punishing Penn State???

I have heard from a few people that Penn State was punished unfairly. The punishment should be doled out to those responsible and those people ONLY.

Example. You drive your car to a service station to get the tires rotated and oil changed. You come back 2 hours later and pick up your vehicle. 5 minutes later as you get onto the highway the wheels fall off because they didn't tighten the lug nuts, and the engine seizes because they drained the oil but never replaced the used oil for new.

Should the service station pay to have your car fixed and for your rental and everything else because they hired incompetent employees and never gave them proper training?

---OR---

Should the two guys that did the work be the ones to pay for the damage?

--OR--

Should they both be punished for lack of oversight and incompetence?

It was a valiant effort.

My serious answer was:

Pay for all my car-related expenses, give me $60M, fire all the current staff, no vacations for any of the new staff for four years, and only two thirds of the old staffing can be maintained by the new management for the next four years. They'll still have to do the same work, just with 1/3 less qualified people. Oh, I'd also take away all of their Better Business Bureau certificates, Annual Best Lube Joint In <insert state> awards, etc going back to 1998. And the owner will have any reference to him removed from the business.

Sounds very fair.

Only if the owner of the business was covering up the fact that his General Manager who retired in 1999 was illegally modifying customer vehicles on company property. Messing exhaust pipes and such.

Hey, did you get to bang any hippy chicks at that Firefly Festival? I headed up Rt 1 on Sat morning and that place looked pretty packed.

Perks of the job :thumb: Looking forward to it returning next year. I only wish that the weather was better, they would have been wearing even less...just how I always wish that it's sunny and upper 80s every NASCAR weekend in Dover
