Wrestling: Mizzou, ODU, and UNI join the MAC

Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced today the addition of the University of Missouri, the University of Northern Iowa and Old Dominion University as affiliate members in the sport of wrestling.

This probably makes the MAC the second best wrestling conference behind the B1G:
Buffalo
Central Michigan
Eastern Michigan
Kent State
Missouri
Northern Illinois
Northern Iowa
Ohio
Old Dominion

Exciting move for UNI wrestling. Much better situation for us than than WWC. Where did ODU's wrestling program reside before this move?

The CAA. It was a good conference but this a huge step up and like I mentioned, the MAC is probably going to be the second best wrestling conference behind the B1G. Weird to be in a conference with UNI and Mizzou though; ODU is definitely going to be the geographic outlier.

ODU has had a good recruiting class so far. They have signed 3 wrestlers ranked in the Intermat Top 100.

A bit surprised ODU didn't move to the SoCon for wrestling........

Wyoming and Utah Valley decided to whiney little bitches about it and backed out of their meets in Cedar Falls this year....
Enjoy your time waiting on the death of the WWC while UNI only gets stronger.

The WWC will not die.
I wish UNI would have stayed in the WWC. NDSU is getting better every year in D1 now.
