How does the selection work for NAIA? Was hoping to see Evangel out of Springfield, MO finally make it back. They had to be right on the bubble

The Evangel Crusaders finished 7-4, 6-3 Heart of America Conference. They closed the season with two-game losing streak, including a HUGE 56-3 road loss to MidAmerica Nazarene; that might have been the determining factor in their missing out. Additionally, their 73-17 loss to Nicholls State was embarrassing. A I think that the minimum at large at ANY level this season may have been 8-3....

Evangel is the flagship liberal arts institution of my faith group, the Assemblies of God. Evangel is in the middle of a three-way merger of the A/G's Springfield colleges with Central Bible College (which mainly produced ministers and missionaries) and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. I'm not sure when the merger will be complete, but the result will be known as Evangel.

Yeah, I knew they didn't finish well. Don't follow them closely but started to hear about them as the season went on around town. Been a while since they've been good in football.
