Tommy Tuberville left a bunch of recruits at a restaurant and took the head coaching job in Cincinnati saw this on the net.

You ever think he may not have wanted to lie to their faces?

He should never made the commitment to recruit them if so.He better hope he never sees any of those recruits again they will make him pay.

Agreed he did left those kids hanging!!

If they're getting recruited by Texas Tech, I bet they'll land on their feet somewhere better.

I don't know the whole story, but the recruits probably got a free meal out of it (and might have had their travel expenses paid too). Better for them to find out Tuberville is leaving now than to have him leave after they start school.

Besides, can't he recruit the same kids for Cincinnati?

I'm sure he could, but I wouldn't exactly bet on that passing an ethics test. Might not be NCAA-illegal, but it'd sure be fishy at best....

Just a guess here: but if the recruits are on an official visit and the school is paying, once he knows that he's headed to Cincy Tuberville probably shouldn't have any further contact with them during that visit .

Once he gets to Cincy, I don't see why he can't begin the recruiting process with those players all over again. Of course, if the players are being recruited by TT, they are probably being recruited by othe Big XII schools, they may have no interest in Cincy.

That, of course, is all true, 86. But another consideration is the admission requirements. One wonders how similar they are....
