Last night I happened to turn the channel to ESPN2 when a NCAA women's tourney game with Delaware hosint North Carolina was on. So I kind of watched it while I was doing other things. As time went on I was hearing the story of Delaware's star player, Elena Delle Donne. Now that's a nice story. Nice to see a young woman end up rejecting a chance to play for what's been the the top program in her sport (Connecticut) in order to stay close to home and end up playing for her home State school 15 minutes from her house. The girl was the number 1 female basketball recruit in the country when she came out. It'd be like having the #1 rated running back coming out of high school in Delaware and opting to play for the Blue Hens out of Alabama and others like that because he loves his home State. Not a lot of athletes like that out there. Hope the Blue Hens can stay in the tournament a bit longer.

Elena's dad and I used to go to the same gym, I haven't seen him in years - until last night. Very cool seeing him celebrate on national TV.
If the Hens can win their next game, there is a real good chance that they will see UConn in the round of 8.
