Them was some nappy headed hoes!bluehenbillk wrote:Dude was fired today - most pub RU hoops got since the Vivian Stringer-Don Imus scandal.
I've had coaches shove me, hit me and slap me in the head and shoulders, but I was in pads and usually to blame for the resulting action. Cursing and belittling players is just part of college sports. What this guy was doing was just being an a-hole to his players. That ball throwing stuff was horseshit. I'm glad he got fired.AZGrizFan wrote:bluehenbillk wrote:Dude was fired today - most pub RU hoops got since the Vivian Stringer-Don Imus scandal.![]()

Watching that video...if that was MY kid playing for him, that coach would find himself in a crumpled heap out in the alley.
The two incidents make Rutgers look really bad. Rutgers goes after Imus for making dumb comments, but lets their coach of easy after doing far worse. The Rutgers AD has to go.bluehenbillk wrote:Dude was fired today - most pub RU hoops got since the Vivian Stringer-Don Imus scandal.
Lets him off easy? They fired him. What would you have them do....nail him to a cross?BlueHen86 wrote:The two incidents make Rutgers look really bad. They fired him months later, and only then when public opinion became overwhelming. Their initial punishment was to slap him on the wrist and try to sweep this under the rug.AZGrizFan wrote:Lets him off easy? They fired him. What would you have them do....nail him to a cross?BlueHen86 wrote:

PENN STATE let their coach off easy for condoning pedophilia. Rutgers fired theirs for hurting players feelings.BlueHen86 wrote:They fired him months later, and only then when public opinion became overwhelming. Wrong. Rutgers gave him counseling, a 3 game suspension and a fine (in other words a slap on the wrist) for hurting players feelings, they didn't fire him because of the player incidents, they fired him because it became a national story. They went easy on him, he should have been fired in December.AZGrizFan wrote:PENN STATE let their coach off easy for condoning pedophilia. And then they gave you a dead fish handshake I bet.andy7171 wrote: I've had coaches shove me, hit me and slap me in the head and shoulders, but I was in pads and usually to blame for the resulting action.
Sure. ANOTHER lesson Penn State didn't learn.BlueHen86 wrote:Wrong. If that's the case, that's double jeopardy. You shouldn't be able to punish someone TWICE for the same offense.BlueHen86 wrote:Wrong. #2 It's a pos New Jersey dump east coast excuse for a college.
So, who really cares?

There is also the College of New Jersey (old Trenton State College) and there are a ton of SUNY schools (State University of New York) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_St ... York_units" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;andy7171 wrote:93henfan wrote:

Same reason W&M, JMU and Mason aren't UVA-Williamsburg, UVA-Harrisonburg and UVA-Manassas.

While Mason has a satellite campus in Manassas (and elsewhere, like Ballston), the main campus is in Fairfax. And UVA already has a NOVA satellite campus in Fairfax.andy7171 wrote:93henfan wrote:

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Rutgers assistant men’s basketball coach Jimmy Martelli has resigned, Rutgers University confirmed on Wednesday.
The resignation comes on the heels of ex-head coach Mike Rice being fired after a video showing the basketball coach verbally and physically abusing his players caused a public outcry.
