Evangel University was ranked in the Pre-Season NAIA Coaches' Poll (#22) for the first time in 7 years. The Crusaders finished last year 7-4 (#23 in the Spring Poll). That's WAY cool.
Carroll (7-4 last year) went up from #18 in the Spring Poll to #12. Southern Oregon (one of those crazy NAIA/NCAA D-II combos) dropped from #5 to #14. Something goofy must be going on at SOU to drop that far since Spring Ball.
Any of your favorite NAIA schools make the cut?

True. They're half black. Flaggy will tell you from the waist down, but he's been known to be a bullshitter.

Is that picture after they won a big game and everyone received a participation award?

No, after they won their 4th consecutive national championship, in thrilling fashion.
Yes, NAIA is also top-heavy like D-III.

Except for the fact that most insiders consider NAIA (particularly NAIA D-I, though the divisions no longer apply to football) is roughly equivalent to NCAA D-II. In fact, there are several schools with dual membership in NAIA and NCAA D-II, such as Southern Oregon.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Our people have suffered long enough. From slavery to a German takeover. If it wasn't for pizza, we would be like the Greeks, only a little less hairy and less affectionate about anal sex. Oh, and rap music and basketball has helped our people too.

Well it's settled. I'm starting a NAIA message board, forthwith!
