It's a hard position to make plays getting double and triple teams and when the other team is running and rolling out away. Just saying.clenz wrote:He mostly looked like shit last week.
He didn't even try 90% of the game.andy7171 wrote:It's a hard position to make plays getting double and triple teams and when the other team is running and rolling out away. Just saying.clenz wrote:He mostly looked like shit last week.
Meh. First game. I heard he was breathing heavy too.clenz wrote:He didn't even try 90% of the game.andy7171 wrote: It's a hard position to make plays getting double and triple teams and when the other team is running and rolling out away. Just saying.
Watch the tape. As soon as he saw the play even feint going the other way he stood straight up and quit.
I added the tape to my first post.andy7171 wrote:Meh. First game. I heard he was breathing heavy too.clenz wrote:He didn't even try 90% of the game.

The famous "hit" vs Michigan do you think it was legit I say it was.The officials in the SEC said if he has done that this year he would removed from the game. They are trying to make him passive!!!! Maybe that is why he takes plays off.Ibanez wrote:This guy is going to explode this season.

Clowney reminds me of Julius Peppers.clenz wrote:no.dal4018 wrote: The famous "hit" vs Michigan do you think it was legit I say it was.The officials in the SEC said if he has done that this year he would removed from the game. They are trying to make him passive!!!! quando omni flunkus moritati
probably the best comparison to make.ASUMountaineer wrote:Clowney reminds me of Julius Peppers.clenz wrote: no.

That's why the Peppers comparison is a good one, Peppers is viewed by most fans and pundits to be a player that takes plays off. You're right, Clowney is freakishly talented, and could be phenomenal at the next level...but, he's got to be willing to give it a go 100% of the time.clenz wrote:probably the best comparison to make.ASUMountaineer wrote:

He is freakishly talented when he wants to be...but gets a ton of hype from ESPN for the couple plays a year he makes blowing them up like they are the greatest plays ever. He had 2 tackles in that Michigan game, but got the player of the game and months of coverage all because he laid the wood to a running back that is 5'8 and 100lb lighter than him.
He doesn't seem great against the run. Had a pretty good get off and first move, however, it looks me to that if that first move doesn't get it he lays way off the gas unless it's right at him.

That's what the man has to do to keep a brother down.dal4018 wrote:They are trying to make him passive!!!!
