Mid-America Nazarene just hired NCAA D-II Azusa Pacific DC Brian Willmer as their new HC. He'll be introduced tomorrow. Willmer played LBer for UCLA. Very soon, he'll announce the remainder of his staff.

OK. Now for the REAL reason I posted this. I was waiting for a semi-official announcement from the school. It was just posted to the MNU Football Facebook page, though it's not quite reflected on the school's website yet.
The new MidAmerica Nazarene Offensive Coordinator is Bruce Pielstick, former OC at Sac State. He's been coaching the last few years at a Sac-area private high school.
Congrats to Coach Pielstick on getting back into the college game....

He runs a West Coast system, and is pretty aggressive. He'll run stretch on third and long, but is known to go deep on first and ten to get the defense to back off.

In 3 years as HC and OC at Woodland Christian, Coach Pielstick was 23-9. That's with a season that saw the top two quarterbacks go down with injuries. The previous four seasons, the Cardinals won a TOTAL of 4 games. THAT is some pretty good coaching....

This past season, his Cardinals were 9-2/8-0 Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League. The 2 seed in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section D-VI playoffs, they were upset in the Section semis by #3 Ripon Christian. But that's STILL pretty good just three years removed from 2-8/1-7....

This thread is gayer than Travis standing in the middle of a Tokyo drift race!
