Old Dominion has 6 wrestlers in the championships so I'll be following the action.
BTW, Cornell is loaded.

Gotta give a shout out to my sons F&M teammate Rick Durso.
Durso is the only Franklin & Marshall wrestler to make the tourney this year. Rick is a junior and this is his third trip to the championship tourney. Last year he came up just short of AA, this year he is the 12 seed at 141. Good luck Rick!

Yes they are, but I don't think they beat Penn St.

I may have been looking at the wrong score, but I think Peters was down 3-1 at one point.

I didn't have the line stats running yet when he took the mat. I'll see what I can find

I thought I saw that too, then it may have been a reversal with back points. but trackwrestling was a bit weird with that match. at one point they said Peters had gotten a pin at 5:00

I don't know what the actual score was...but it sounds like Peters got a reversal with back points. Ohio State took issue with it and were docked a team point for unsportsmanlike conduct after the match. No word on twitter what actually happened though

I worked a table at the Franklin & Marshall Open earlier this year and the tourney used Trackwrestling software. It's really easy to use, but it's also pretty easy to make (and fix) mistakes.

I understand. I had just gotten excited about the pin (Peters is pretty good at pinning, and the bonus points would have been nice)

I'm always wary of trackwrestling software when following along on the internet. I always wait until the score is posted in the bracket (usually takes a minute of two after the match).
When my younger son was in 8th grade he wrestled for Team PA Red in the schoolboy national duals in Indianapolis. I couldn't get out for the first day and a half of competition so I had to follow along on trackwrestling. Anyway, his team made the Greco-Roman medal round and faced Team PA Blue first. Sam was up against the PA state champ (who had beaten Sam in freestyle a few weeks earler). Sam won the first period 3-0, but was losing the second period 3-0 when all of the sudden the match was over. I was thinking "crap, he got pinned", turned out Sam got the pin, I was really sorry that I missed that match.

UNI off to pretty good start, winning 5 of first 6 matches. Only loss was 184 lb #15 seed Ryan Loder in OT. He should make some noise in consy's. Had he won he would have gotten #2 seed Ed Ruth of Penn St next, Ruth is defending champ.

shitgrad was quick to dismiss UNI in the UNI wrestling thread but UNI wrestling is going in the right direction, and quickly. We have 2 freshman and I think 2 soph at NCAAs right now. If the middle weights get caught up UNI is in real good shape.

The Citadel won three of its five first round matches. Ugi, who finished 4th last year but is unranked now, drew the #3 seed. The NCAA screwed him by causing him to miss half of the season with a bogus eligibility ruling. If he had been allowed to wrestle all of this season, he would have gone into the tournament with a high seed and would have likely won his first round match.

You're still not going to beat Penn State or the other big boys.

I don't like the way the NCAA does the seeding. If you are a returning medalist you should get seeded. Ridiculous that they seeded the top 16 out of 32, and he wasn't seeded. Returning medalist and 22-4 this season.
That pairing also could have screwed the #3 seed, Retherford should have opened with an easier match.
