With the news that UNI is dropping baseball, I'm curious as to how many sports are offered at your school.
ASU currently offers 20 sports with 19 being the in the SoCon (the most of any conference member). Field hockey competes in the NorPac.
Men: baseball, basketball , cross country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field, and wrestling.
Women: basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field, and volleyball.
If I had my way I'd probably drop men's and women's tennis, golf and field hockey. Possibly wrestling as well. I'd like to add men's and women's lacrosse.

17 after baseball gets dropped, but adding a womens sport in 09-10 so it will go back to 18
Mens: Baseball (dropped after this season), Cross Country, Football, Basketball, Indoor Track, Out door track, golf, and wrestling.
The men are in the MVC for every sport except football and wrestling. Football is the Missouri Valley Football Conference (not technically the same as the MVC) and Wrestling is in the Great West Conference, I believe.
Women: basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, indoor track, outdoor track, and volley ball....starting in 09-10 rugby (we currently have a club team that is constantly ranked in the top 5-10 in club teams)
That will give us 6 mens sports (I put indoor and outdoor track together), and 10 womens sports in 09-10.
With UNI being in as much financial problems as they say you would think they would drop teams that make no money at all like womens swimming, womens tennis....hell just all the womens sports period....but we can't. UNI dropped Mens tennis, Mens swimming and diving, womens tennis, and womens swimminging and diving in 2002, but was sued by a feminist group from PA and has to reinstate the womens teams.

Golf and tennis are popular to offer because they are cheap. Minimal equipment costs.
NAU:
Men's - Football, Basketball, Cross-Country, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track, Tennis
Women's- Volleyball, Basketball, Cross-Country, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track, Tennis, Golf, Soccer and Swimming
All in the Big Sky except Swimming, which is in the WAC.
Supposedely adding Softball.

The Citadel:
Mens: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Wrestling, Cross Country, Tennis, Rifle, Track & Field
Womens: Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf, Rifle, Track & Field
All sports except Rifle are in the SoCon. The Rifle team competes in the SEARC
So 14 total. We had to drop Mens Soccer and Mens Golf. We have approximately 8% of the school with females, but with Title IX we had to add sports that we can't support resulting in dropping those two.
