Or, in other words, "Idaho Football Continues as Usual."

Sunday practices?!? How

is that?!? At UOP, all we had was a choice to do weights Sunday afternoon or early Monday morning. No practice. I don't remember even having THAT at Sac State. Everything was M-F, with game on Saturday. In both cases, we did just fine.
In Idaho's case, outside of the behavioral issues cited in the appeal (see the end of the article), perhaps the lack of study time on Sunday (you can't study if you're at practice) was a partial cause of the APR problem.
That said, though I'm a HUGE fan of having student-athletes on par to graduate, the NCAA's draconian practice of holding FUTURE student-athletes responsible for the failures of long-gone student athletes is dumb to the nth degree, particularly in situations where the school has ALREADY taken steps to address the problem, and those steps are already bearing fruit, as in the case of Idaho.
Another case of idiots running the NCAA....

How else are you gonna do it? You can't truly go back in time to yank the previous kids from their previous bowl games. The program has to be punished in some way beyond scholarship reductions.
Also, can't you easily get a transfer penalty waiver if your team gets a postseason ban? That should awesome for Vandal players: a free pass to get out of Moscow.

According to the article, the seniors were offered that opportunity, and all of them at least gave the coach the impression that they're going to stick it out there.
Dumb? Maybe. Or maybe they just want to be in on getting the program fixed. I don't know that that's possible (at least in terms of Ws and Ls, anyway) in Moscow, but ya gotta give 'em props for wanting to try....

We always had practice on Sunday. It was a light practice but practice nonetheless. Monday off.

My D3 had weights on Sunday's.
Monday - Was practice but wasn't practice at the same time. Hats only and pretty much only game planning and was shorter than the rest of the week
Tuesday - full
Wednesday - full
Thursday - shells
Friday - hats only
Saturday - game
Sunday - Weights

NCAA mandates one full day off per week. Your Sunday weights was probably technically voluntary, even if you didn't know it was.

clenz...was that Friday shells practice truly a "practice," or was it just a walk-thru? At both UOP and Sac, that's pretty much what we did. It's one last shot at reviewing the game plan, but at the same time, why get guys jacked up?

after seeing Idaho play last year, they should have practiced 15 days a week.
