Only 8 days until it starts...
Some schools, like Hofstra, have already had wrestle offs.

Nobody forced you to open or respond to this thread. Maybe the mods could supply a list of topics that people care about so that we can avoid unpopular threads.Vidav wrote:Do people care about wrestling?
Actually, Chris forces the mods to open all the threads.BlueHen86 wrote:Nobody forced you to open or respond to this thread. Maybe the mods could supply a list of topics that people care about so that we can avoid unpopular threads.Vidav wrote:Do people care about wrestling?

Yes they do. Wrestling is very popular here in PA. Most high schools have teams as do many colleges. There are 11 D1 college wrestling teams in PA and 33 overall if you count D2 and D3. Several of my sons high school matches were televised on local TV.Vidav wrote:Do people care about wrestling?
I don't even want to begin to try to count the number of college programs here in Iowa.BlueHen86 wrote:Yes they do. Wrestling is very popular here in PA. It's fine of you don't care about it, the sport is not for everyone; but theemoticon is out of line. You are just showing your ignorance.
My understanding is that the NCAA has changed the formula for crowning a champion and that the dual meet tourney will be part of the total score. It will be harder to go undefeated in dual meets since schools will now have compete and do well, Penn St won the title last year and did not compete in the dual meet tourney.clenz wrote:I don't even want to begin to try to count the number of college programs here in Iowa.BlueHen86 wrote:

I don't think UNI will run the regular season undefeated like they did last season (13-0) but I don't follow as intensely as others. I know there is a lot of hype with the program again this season, but lost some good seniors.
I expect UNI to qualify 6-8 for nationals though based on what I'm reading.
there are 23 collegiate wrestling programs in Iowa (including JuCo)clenz wrote:I don't even want to begin to try to count the number of college programs here in Iowa.
