The bowl season has always been a joke, but it would seem this year may top all others. What is the worst bowl game on the slate?

BTW, maybe should do a poll for worst bowl name...

R+L CARRIERS NEW ORLEANS BOWL
GILDAN NEW MEXICO BOWL
ROYAL PURPLE LAS VEGAS BOWL
RAYCOM MEDIA CAMELLIA BOWL
SAN DIEGO COUNTY CREDIT UNION POINSETTIA BOWL
POPEYES BAHAMAS BOWL
ZAXBY'S HEART OF DALLAS BOWL
BITCOIN ST. PETERSBURG BOWL
QUICK LANE BOWL
DUCK COMMANDER INDEPENDENCE BOWL
FOSTER FARMS BOWL
TAXSLAYER BOWL
GODADDY BOWL

Any of the games before Christmas are brutal - only gamblers and alums of the schools will watch those games. So basically at least 4x the size of any FCS tv appearance. :coffee:

I would agree, but at least it still has the "Independence" in there. Foster Farms Bowl... :dunce:

Shouldn't it be the Duck Commander "No Fags Allowed" Bowl?

Utah State, Nevada, Air Force are all good teams.

The MWC was far and away the Best G5 conference, but you ECB won't see that.

7-5 Houston vs 6-6 Pitt - that should have been on your list

The usage of that Camellia Bowl name in ALABAMA is a joke. The Camellia Bowl is the FCS West Region Final (or, in today's usage, the quarterfinal involving the top four seed farthest west), and it's theoretically tied to the Camellia City...Sacramento....

No "all of they above" option? :? But actually Jon is right, most of those with a MWC team in them are at least watchable.

The Sun Belt's fourth-place team beat Utah State. The Mountain West is a small step above the Sun Belt, CUSA, and MAC.

I expect Nevada to get all they want from U-La-La. May not watch any of those games, though.

Actually I have new respect for FCS TV ratings. The MLS Cup or Champiosnhip, whatever it's called got a 0.5-0.6 rating. The UNH game or the NDSU game this weekend will both beat that number....

Did they do away with the Beef O'Brady Bowl? That's by far the best bowl name. Plus ODU is in the tard conference that plays in it, so I wanted to laugh at Flaggy if they ever played in it.

Arkansas State is an up and down team - and Utah State was dealing with a major injury that game.

Computer rankings, other ranking show that there is a HUGE gap between Mountain West and Sun Belch.
The only losses MW teams had to teams with losing records were to Oregon State (7 losses) and to Colorado (and Colorado State destroyed CU).

Nevada took down BYU (who beat Texas easily), and Wazzou. U-La-La will be tough though, playing in New Orleans. U-La-La has been less than impressive this year - only winning against Ga State by 3, Lost to Boise by 25, gotten killed by Liberty Victim App State.

Cripes Jon, not everything is an all encompassing list. Plenty of ECB games on the list. Why do you have to be a partisan hack in everything you do? But since you want to open that box...

Tennessee 38 - Utah State 7
Arkansas State 21 - Utah State 14
Nevada 7-5 squeaking past SUU
Air Force, they've been much better in the past. CIC trophy plus wins over Georgia State and Nicholls... meh. AFA vs WMU in Boise... :coffee:

I was pretty underwhelmed with Air Force against FBS-in-name-only Georgia State.

Yep sorry bit it's gone. I may be in for the Military Bowl in Annapolis this December!

Ah yes. Tropical Annapolis. Always pleasant in late December.

you know the postseason is too big when you don't have enough fully eligible teams to fill all the slots and have to take transitional teams

All one needs to point out about the Sun Belch is that newly FCS move ups (GSU & Appy) ran through that conference like a hot knife thru butter and finished in a dominating 1-2 in that "FBS" conference. :coffee:
