Quarterback transfer thread. :D

Obviously Braxton Miller, J.T. Barrett, and Cardale Jones are not all going to stay at OSU.

Just another indication of the obscenely good position Ohio State is in right now.

I thought word was Miller was already transferring. The big question is what happens with the other two. I think OSU will be fine though.

You know I've said many times that, over time, Ohio State is near the top in talent level. I decided to look at selected schools' numbers of NFL draft picks over the past 20 NFL drafts (1995 - 2014). Check out the numbers of draft picks by school:

Ohio St. 118
Florida State 118
USC 109
Miami 108
Georgia 105
Florida 104
Alabama 90
Notre Dame 87
Oklahoma 85
Texas 69

Now I tried to just think of schools that are high talent level and didn't do every school. But I'm pretty sure I didn't leave out anybody who is likely to have produced more draft picks than USC or Miami did. I couldn't do LSU because for some reason the LSU draft record at NFL.com is truncated. But I'm confident LSU didn't approach Ohio State because LSU had a down period during the 1990s.

Anyway, as you can see, this is a school that has been able to obtain top players in the past even if it couldn't parlay that into national championships. Now, after what they just did, I expect they're going to be able to do even better in that regard. And once they get the players they've got a coach who can get maximum benefit out of their talent.

The rest of FBS college football had better get used to seeing Ohio State as a huge factor for at least the near term future.
