thought I would create a general topic.
Bryant just beat JMU 22-8 and is 8-3 on the season. All three loses could have been wins. So far they have lost 2 to Mercer and 1 to Richmond. Wins have come over Delaware State, Virginia Tech, JMU, and Radford.

I assume these are all on the road, an extended southern roadie?

There whole season is an extended roadie. 54 games and only 8 home games. All single home games and then a three game homestand vs. URI, Harvard and UMass Lowell(D2) in single games. Then they have single games at home with UConn, Stonehill(D2), Boston College, Wheaton (D3), and Northeastern. The only reason I think they even play the 2 D2's and 1 D3 is to actually get a midweek home game. Besides football this is the first team to play a D2 or lower team.

Texas States relief pitching is been a factor in 4 of the 5 losses. Leads were blown in those games the worst being to ranked Texas and TCU.

UNC has been taken some beating, 6-10 overall right now, seems like they don't have much for pitching. Sounds like they have some bats, but no arms.
Here's the sched

JMU is looking a lot better than I thought they would be this year with the loss of the 2-4 spots in the batting rotation from last year. Currently at 12-7. Playing at Radford tonight and then opening up the CAA season with a weekend series at Northwestern.
UGA lost 2 of 3 to Alabama in their SEC opener this weekend. Still ranked in the top 5 with a 15-2 record. Facing off against CAA foe Georgia State tonight.

CAMPBELL PRESENTED WITH 2008 GOLD GLOVE AWARD
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Junior Nick Campbell (Raynham, MA) was presented with his Rawlings Gold Glove Award for 2008 prior to the start of Thursday's home opener against Boston College at the Bryant Baseball Complex.
Campbell was one of just four outfielders from around the country voted to the Gold Glove team last season and recognizes his outstanding season in the field.
Defensively, Campbell handled 140 chances making only one error and finishing the year with a team-best six outfield assists as a sophomore. He was named First Team All-Region and First Team All-Conference in 2008 and participated in the NEIBA Collegiate All-Star game at Fenway Park.
This year, Campbell has a .963 fielding percentage and is currently second on the team with a .397 batting average with 25 hits and seven doubles.
He entered the Boston College game Wednesday only two hits shy of 200 for his career.
