The Hens beat #1 Duke.

"The Blue Hens continue to rewrite program history as No. 8 Delaware came from behind to upset No. 1 Duke, 3-2, in overtime Sunday afternoon in NCAA Tournament Second Round action at Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium.

The victory is the first-ever for the Hens over a first-ranked team and also the first-ever over the Blue Devils. With the win, the Hens (21-2) advance to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals to the first time since 1982."

Hens came back from 0-2 with only 10 minutes left and won in OT.

#8 Hens face #14 Princeton.

No. 4 North Carolina and No. 6 Connecticut are in the other semi-final.

8 vs. 14, and 4 vs. 6...seems the seeds were off a bit.

Yay Hens. Field Hockey has been coming on the past few years, good to see it carrying into the tournament as well.

Any tie-in between the UD field hockey program and the national team training center in Lancaster?

Sunday the Lady Hens are playing for the chipper against North Carolina (beat UConn 2-1 in OT).


In other news, UD men's b-ball beat Miami, OH 68-66 to go 3-1 under new coach Ingelsby.

Other good news...tomorrow, Saturday, is the last day for our football coaches...buh-bye...and the last day we have to deal with Walker as our QB!!!!

The only bad news is that the mens' soccer lost in the NCAA playoff game.

All in all, a good time to be a Blue Hen!
