These standings must be heavily weighted for championships, as Delaware women are #16, ahead of the likes of Duke and Princeton. One thing JMU and UD achieved this past year were National Championships. Good stuff.

Former UD AD Bernard Muir has Stanford #1 on both sides, as they often are. Must be nice to be black and be able to walk into the best job in your field based on your skin color. The guy ran UD athletics into the ground and we are just starting to recover five plus years later.

60 points for FCS championship. Bison were in that spot the previous 5 years.

Right, but this cup is for overall athletic program. So being 5th for one sport is not a great indicator of anything. Also interesting to note that winning the championship is NOT what got JMU 60 points. It was finishing first in the poll. I can't imagine anyone not finishing first in the poll after winning the championship, but if it could happen anywhere, it might be I-AA football since not all teams participate in the playoffs.

Sure but I don't think any of the teams that don't participate are in danger of being voted #1 any time soon.

Glad we agree.
