Am I the only person who is not a UNC fan that has no problem with this?

Maybe I'm missing pertinent facts here, but I don't like the idea of the NCAA policing whether or not individual academic departments have sufficient rigor in their courses.

And let's be real, the vast majority of DI schools have those degree programs and course tracks for athletes to make it as easy as possible for athletes who aren't the best students.

I hadn't heard North Carolina was under investigation.

On the flip side, why did I assume you were talking about Northern Colorado? In the men's ministries curriculum I help moderate, we learn that assumption is the lowest form of knowledge. I guess I blew it again.

NCAA needs to stay in its lane - stick to denying Mongolian wrestlers at The Citadel a fourth year of eligibility .... and other relevance-building exercises

Back in the day when I was still at John Madison U, I went to a Coolio concert where he called us "George Madison University!" We were so high though, so it didn't really matter.

I think it's terribly ironic that the way that UNC got out of sanctions here, basically by saying that yes, they had extremely joke courses that they steered athletes into to stay eligible, but that they were okay doing this because they let so many other non-athlete students also take these sham courses, is pretty much the business model for several "for-profit" places like the University of Phoenix that brick and mortar places like UNC pooh-poohed.
