Re: LAX
Completely unrelated to this, but as far as WLAX is concerned, my three daughters are totally into watching streaming WLAX games. And all of the teams they think are destination teams, have been beaten badly by Towson. Its comical. None of them want to even acknowledge Towson as a possibility. Their mom has them focusing on Top 30 programs. I continue to point out that Towson is a top 5-10 team every year. And they just laugh at me.
Fuck them.
Fuck them.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"

Funny stuff. Maybe they'll come around at the end, just when they're picking the college they'll actually go to. Everyone likes to think they want to go far away for college, and then reality sets in when the actual decision nears.andy7171 wrote:Completely unrelated to this, but as far as WLAX is concerned, my three daughters are totally into watching streaming WLAX games. Have they looked into Delaware though?

Re: LAX
#1 Albany falls to UMBC. As if the Retriever mania isn't at an all time high already. Seriously, WTF.
#7 Towson WLAX hands Drexel and Delaware ass kickings over the weekend. 10-2 with loses to #1 Stoneybrooks and a 3OT loss to Charles St rival Loyola.
Signature wins over Penn State, G'town, Florida, Michigan and Oregon.

UAlbany women's lax beats no. 20 Notre Dame 10-7. Changed head coaches a week before the season and lost first 7 games. Now on a 7 game winning streak to pull up to 7-7. Still have to play no. 1 Stony Brook a week from Saturday.

Re: LAX
Field announced yesterday. Terps get #1 seed even after losing Big10 Championship to Hopkins (beat them earlier last week). Lady Terps also #1 seed in the women's bracket. Not sure if a school has ever won back to backs in both.
BTW, 89Jr's HS is playing for their conference championship tonight at University of Maryland. This is quality HS LAX. They currently have 26 players in DI and DII.

Why the hell did JHU join the Big 10 in lax? They’ve been a D-I Power for years. Just a matter of simoleons?89Hen wrote:Field announced yesterday. JHU gets little $$ from the B1G, as they were able to keep their own TV deal. When Maryland went to the B1G, and other teams left the Independent ranks, it would be hard for JHU to maintain a good schedule and reach the tournament. In reality, any conference would have allowed JHU to affiliate, they just felt the B1G was the best fit.

UM. Towson. Loyola. Hopkins. Heck even UMBC. So many great Maryland destinations they can go to school at - boiled down to College Park and Baltimore - why go anywhere else?andy7171 wrote:Completely unrelated to this, but as far as WLAX is concerned, my three daughters are totally into watching streaming WLAX games.
