Chad Lunsford has more wins after 7 games than Tyson Summers had after 18.
Also, Sun Belt game of the year coming up on Thursday when we host App State.
Congrats? Actually, it
has been an impressive turnaround.
Thursday has me worried after an underwhelming game against UL-Lafayette yesterday.

Wow, I just saw that App is ranked #25 in the AP Poll this week! I believe that is a first. Kind of shocking to see.

I hope we can take care of business Thursday and maybe pick up another spot or two next week.

First for App, second ever for Sun Belt (Troy was also #25 for a week)

I was thinking App, but thanks for the information.
I should have known it was a first for us. Hopefully it will be more than a one and done.

Were you and the missus there? I’ll bet the place was rocking.
5 takeaways. Looks like total Eagle domination.

We were there until the end. Hoarse, soaked, cold, and I wouldn't change it for anything.

Yeah with our sub-par lighting those silver parts of the helmet don't look good.
What's worse is both teams wearing those cheap-looking, Pop-Warnerish small numbers.

It wasn't packed, but attendance was right at 20K. I think that's pretty good considering the rain, especially since the vast majority of the crowd stayed until the very end.

So Troy and Appy share the Sun Belt record for being recognized as sort of not Sun Belt-y for one week each!

Un-spoiled by "front porch" money since 1936
What are the "activity fees" up to these days in Boone?

From October of last year:
Lehigh TU Owl wrote: Their program hit rock bottom today in a 55-20 loss to Umass. The Eagles were down 48-0 at half. I know they'll blame their coaching but in reality their program's problems run much deeper than that. I still can't fathom why they threw all that history away for this. They'll never be truly relevant in FBS. Sure they can have a good season in here and there in the SBC but what is the value in that?
Always worth a chuckle to have some Patriot League AGS poster like Lehigh TU Owl or Lehigh Football Nation remind you won't win a national championship so what's the point?

His last sentence is a question. There is no right or wrong. It all depends on what you want.
Aside from the tiny handful of P5 NFL factories, the parity among the rest of FBS seems to get stronger every year. Ten years ago, you would have the 'fluke' Boise State. Now there are multiple G5 schools who compete and often beat P5 (GOOD P5 teams) on a regular basis.

Big game in Statesboro this coming Saturday.
