Just coming here to say that this year's college world series final really illustrated how one mistake can make the difference between ecstasy and agony. I didn't even watch any of the College World Series but my sister was pulling for Arkansas and wrote a post about Arkansas snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in game two. Couldn't find a Youtube on it but there's a video of the play at http://thesportsdaily.com/2018/06/28/wa ... mpionship/.

All they had to do was have one of those three guys make the catch and they're national champs. Now they're not.

Kind of lost interest when the NCAA forced Omaha to build a new stadium, replacing Rosenblatt. Another example of a sports event going from a neighborhood to a downtown, corporate suit event.

Apparently they don't play good college baseball north of the Mason Dixon Line and very far West (Siebert field is 6 blocks away) of the Mississippi, otherwise known as ECB area.
