I'm puzzled by OSU's statement that their committee will come to a judgment within 14 days. Regardless of which way they'll decide it seems disingenuous. Either they're going to fire him and OSU is going through this whole process for legal CYA reasons, or they're going to keep him and probably face mockery & criticism to no end unless new facts surrounding the whole story come out contrary to what's been previously reported.

Wait until there's a chance for the mob to cool off, or until there's enough Trump craziness in the news that it'll get glossed over.

The "Other College Sports" area is indeed where discussion of this belongs so I'm posting this here.

I am glad Meyer is going to keep his job and hope he is able to recover. This whole thing was, to me, really unfair to him. I never saw anything to indicate that he did anything wrong. I understand that in today's climate Ohio State was in a tough position.

Frankly I think the just thing to do was just to say "he didn't do anything wrong." But I understand that they had to do SOMETHING for political reasons.

Refreshing to see the adults can still prevail over the unthinking mobs once in a while.
