Terrible week in the upper division too. WHY does the SEC play I-AA games at the end of the season?

There are many benefits. First, it's because TV needed them to play big games in September. Second, it is kind of a bye. With the new 4-game redshirt rule, they can rest some guys and play young guys that are under the 4 game limit to redshirt. At this point in the season, you can do the math on the number of games a kid played and the number of games you have left, and you can play them now knowing you won't "need" them later in the season above the limit.89Hen wrote:Terrible week in the upper division too. I normally cheer for the underdog but I think Ohio State has the best chance at busting up the party this year. If the win it, I'll be cheering against them next year.Ibanez wrote:89Hen wrote: I'm with 88 on this one. It's a tough call. I hate the Buckeyes. But i'd love to see Clempson knocked down a peg.
The SEC is the poster child of weak OOC scheduling. Heck, even when they play a quality team OOC it's almost never on that opponents campus - either an SEC home game or a neutral site game. Particularly for the bigger programs like 'Bama or Florida.AZGrizFan wrote:Man, if that ain't a murderer's row I don't know what is.89Hen wrote: First three weeks of the season featured...

No one's playing NDSU so they're pretty close to cupcakes. It's on another thread here, hasn't really been an awesome year for FCS vs FBS. And that's been a trend recently.Skjellyfetti wrote:Y'all are bashing FCS teams pretty hard. They aren't all cupcakes.
