It's official - Dan Lanning from the rafters.
Georgia's DC and the nation's top recruiter. Folks around here are pumped. Players are pumped. Let's just shore up the recruits, stop the bleeding, and be the perfect foil to the programs in Seattle, Palo Alto and South Central.
Not on my radar at all until Friday afternoon, what a well-kept secret by the Athletic Department. Saturday morning was met with rumors abound regarding Urban Meyer, due to the timing of articles highlighting the tumult with his staff in Jacksonville. I am so glad we didn't sell our souls for that (very successful) dickbag. Lanning and Venables were the final two candidates for the Oklahoma job. Venables makes a lot of sense for them.
This is the first time a former Defensive Coordinator is the head coach at Oregon. I love it.
Lanning's birthday? April 10, 1986.
Let's see where the staff rounds out. There are still bags to be tossed and Joe Brady or Chip (why would he leave a HC gig) would be our OC white whales.
