UNI athletes reach out to kids in Des Moines hospital

DES MOINES -- More than 30 University of Northern Iowa student-athletes, coaches and administrators joined TC and the UNI Alumni Association in Des Moines for UNI Day on Thursday.
The Panthers hosted a youth clinic at the YMCA before visiting patients at Blanks Children’s Hospital. Finally the group attended UNI Day with the Iowa Cubs, signing autographs and visiting with fans at a pre-game picnic. Junior men’s basketball player Lucas O’Rear threw out the first pitch.
