Lots of big season openers:

#5 Bama v #7 VT in the Georgia Dome
#13 UGA v #11 OK State in Stillwater
#24 BYU @ #3 Oklahoma
#14 Oregon v #16 Boise St on the Smurf Turf
Chuck South opens against #1 UF
Jacksonville St opens against #15 GT
The Citadel opens against #20 UNC... maybe I need to start reading up on some FBS as I did not realize UNC was this highly touted.
UNI opens against #21 Iowa
Portland State opens against #25 Oregon State

There will be a few teams who see a big change in their ranking and start talking about "next year"

... I have a few problems with this list. I'll just put this one out there as most of my other gripes are with schools being ranked based on their "History" and not recent performance. I think GT is underrated at #15, they are returning one of the most powerful offenses in the ACC, they stomped the shit out of #13 UGA last year who lost it's QB, RB and top WR. Perhaps they are ranked lower because of defensive loses.

I found myself agreeing with a National talks show host on this poll. How do coaches have the time to review all the other programs around the country? They don't, so they aren't voting or they are voting for the teams on their schedule to pump up their SOS rating for the end of the year calculations.

This poll is a joke.
