Yeah, with Henzone in hiding and HenGrad gone since the Jacksonville debacle, the biggest Brock supporters are just mute. The KC interview that opened the Pandora's box on his firing certainly hasn't helped as well. I imaging HZ will show back up sometime after SHSU is eliminated or whenever UD tells him he needs to post something for them.93henfan wrote:Yeah. I thought that more probably than not that is true as well; which is why I am SO pissed off that McNeese self destructed with penalties after getting first and goal at the one late in the game.bluehenbillk wrote:I said last week - whoever won the Sammy/McNeese game would goto Frisco.
It would not shock me to see Jacksonville State hold serve. But I have to like Sam Houston State's chances of getting to the title game at this point. I think they already played the two strongest teams they're going to to have play in order to get there.
Now, if they get there they're probably going to get spanked pretty bad because the other bracket is much stronger. But their chances of getting there are pretty good. And the "spanked pretty bad" prognosis would apply to anybody who got to the title game out of the bracket they're in. To me the committee really screwed up this year in terms of distributing the teams between the brackets. Would've worked out great for McNeese if they hadn't screwed up last week. But way out of balance.

Can the Colgate Cinderella Caravan keep rolling? Sam Houston's run defense is weak, so it's certainly plausible. The Raiders rely a little too heavily on QB Jake Melville, however, and he'll need to play a monster game for them to offset their average defense & weak special teams in a tough road environment.
Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:

UNH couldn't stop Colgate's rushing attack. JMU couldn't. SHSU won't either. SHSU will just score more..htownbearkat wrote:But of course. Gate marches down the field. 14-7htownbearkat wrote:So far it looks like a mismatch. 14-0 kats
I didn't make the prediction befor the game, but I'm thinking along the lines of SHSU 45, Colgate 28.

Final 48-21. Colgate had 185 on the ground. Didn't think SHSU would hold them under 200. Colgate was so far behind they had to pass more than usual (12-25, 142).BDKJMU wrote:UNH couldn't stop Colgate's rushing attack. JMU couldn't. SHSU won't either. SHSU rolls for 653 yds total offense. If had been in Harrisonburg would have probably put up around that & 50 (think JMU might have gotten in 30s, but still would have lost by 2-3 TDs ). So now I'm not too upset that JMU lost to Colgate at home. Saved me from another trip to VA to watch JMU's defense get shredded for another week. Instead I get to sit at home watching (parts) of all 4 games + Army/Navy..

Yeah...I didn't want watch my team play another home playoff game either. Especially since they lost.BDKJMU wrote:Final 48-21. Colgate had 185 on the ground. Didn't think SHSU would hold them under 200. Colgate was so far behind they had to pass more than usual (12-25, 142).BDKJMU wrote:

Knowing you would lose and your defense would get shredded, what's the point? JMU adopted the Big Fluff's style of football- all offense, no defense.kalm wrote:Yeah...I didn't want watch my team play another home playoff game either. Especially since they lost.BDKJMU wrote:

100 out of 120 teams aren't terrible at any level. You're just disgruntled.93henfan wrote:Yes.BDKJMU wrote:

JMU was a very good team with Vad Lee, above avg without him.

Re: Colgate Vs SHSU
I'm not disgruntled at all. I have fully accepted Delaware's half decade of suckitude. I watched JMU in person three weeks ago and they were dreadful. If that's above average, then FCS football really has dropped as low as many say.BDKJMU wrote:100 out of 120 teams aren't terrible at any level. You're just disgruntled.93henfan wrote:
