Western Illinois: The school has announced that Richmond offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Charlie Fisher and former Montana State head coach Rob Ash are WIU head coaching candidates and will visit campus this week.

You know I've got to admit that I'm really bummed about Viator leaving McNeese for ULM. Yes I know he gets more money but Viator played for McNeese and had been around McNeese all his football life. I had hoped it was one of those things where there was a certain loyalty.

The other thing is that I'm not real optimistic about Lance Guidry as head coach. I guess I can go ahead and say that here since it's not a McNeese board. Believe me when I say I hope I am wrong but I'm not a fan of that "rah rah" stuff.

McNeese's program has been kind of stuck in neutral for a while and nobody will be happier than me it Lance Guidry takes them to the next level. But if I'm honest I'd say I'm pretty apprehensive.

But it is what it is and what will be will be.
