Duquesne is probably the weakest team in the field, so slumping Towson should get to the second round without a whole lot of trouble. Still… Duquesne nearly won a shootout with William & Mary in their last appearance, so an upset wouldn't be super shocking.
Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:
Quarterbacks -- Towson
Running Backs - Towson
Receivers/TEs - Towson
Offensive Line - Towson
Defensive Line - Towson
Linebackers --- (push)
Secondary ---- Duquesne
Kicking ------ Towson
Punting ------ Duquesne
Return Teams - Towson
Kickoffs ------ Towson

Towson - Duquesne has a challenge on their hands, mostly because Towson is at home & has faced better competition.

They will have no answer for Flacco.

Duquesne should be able to put up some pts, but Towson should score easily. Towson by 17

Everyone who made a prediction is embarrassed to post. Apparently nobody did real research. Hard hitting powerful research.

Yeah, my research missed the fact that you just can't trust a team with a QB named "Flacco."

It was completely humiliating. Ambrose tried to be fancy passing from the start in a fucking downpour. Dusquense realized they were still in the game at halftime and ran the ball down our throats...240yds in the second half. We got our asses handed to us. We did not belong. Fucking embarrassing.

To me this is just another indication of it being cool that FCS allows every conference champion an automatic bid so that opinion does not matter in that regard. I love the fact that in FCS each team that's in a conference controls its own destiny. You have to worry about a playoff committee if you don't do what you need to do. But every team in a conference knows that if they win their conference they get a shot in the tournament.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Yeah… I didn't think you were, though I wasn't sure.
I think Andy had the best serious answer to your previous post, though.

I thought Towson would win too, but they didn't play in the 2nd half. If you don't play, you don't win.

I think that was the Ravens when they handed him $140M a few weeks later.
He did flip one of those $M's back to dear old UD for the stadium reno and new athletic performance center that is kicking off this offseason though. Thanks, Joe. And Ravens.
Looks like he and his wife named the weight room:

I STILL can't believe Towson State blew this one....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

You’re confusing Johnson Hagood with the other Confederate general, Dick “Tiny” Johnson.
