Wait, are you using weather as a disadvantage to the home team? :notworthy:

SAC better pull this off, and the Cats need to take care of business, I really want to see a rematch :thumb:

Having watched the Cats get steamrolled in Bozeman I don't think you really want a rematch, especially down in California.

The game was never really close after the head scratching going for it on 4th down call in the 1st quarter. By the start of the 4th quarter Sac called off the hounds and some late points made it seem far closer than it ever was. Bobcat fans should really be pulling hard for an Austin Peay upset if you want a shot at the semi-finals. Not hating here, just stating the facts.

NDSU reached an intermediate fundraising goal yesterday on the indoor practice facility. Latest rendering:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EK3l-DpX0AAZXYN.jpg

Apparently it will be located adjacent and directly south of the existing Scheels Arena on north university Ave. NDSU now owns most if not all of the houses on the east side of university ave

Giving day was yesterday at NDSU I guess. They raised about 1 million but only about $40,000 was athletics plus the $50,000 matching for the IPF.

https://www.ndsugivingday.com/giving-da ... &des=73042

Here are original renderings. Don’t think the plan is finalized yet

https://spark.adobe.com/page/lssl2Kbdld4hA/

They say there will be no basement. 8-)

Is the outdoor turf field new or preexisting?

I like how the doors open and connect the 2 fields

EDIT: I see now that the outdoor field is new / included in this project

I think it is in existence. There are two turf practice fields over there now.

I just saw they will be new too. guess the other fields are going to get torn up. Probably will use the turf. Its only a couple years old.

Its all on the west side of university ave. I finally saw that on the map too. The outdoor field will be next to University the main building is where the two fields are now. At first I thought the main building had its long side to university ave. That could have left at least one of the existing fields undisturbed.

It will add to the FFD, old Dacotah field, Scheels Arena complex very nicely.

Unfortunately the leftist dogma our youth are indoctrinated with daily in what were once educational institutions is killing football. The educationally bankrupt universities and their corrupt “educators” are killing the sport. Can’t have strong men in a country centrally controlled by a corrupt government. Got to have neutered soy boys.

Any facility NDSU builds should be adaptable to ESports. The Fabulous Fargo Dome might be a little small for ESports. Too bad there is no GAM, Game Analyzer Mechanism, for Esports, soccer or Basketball.

There was a lot of opportunity in FCS football this week. GAM Labs entered propositions on 3 games. Saturday will be fun. I haven’t even calculated the payoff if we sweep but am well aware of what’s at risk. This is what the bank was built for.

There were about 2,500 tickets available at the FFD. The days of the automatic sell-out are over. A move to FBS would fill it up again for a few years anyway.

Thanks! :thumb:

It's going to rain pretty hard Friday evening thru Sunday afternoon this weekend which should chase away most of the crowd. I'd be surprised if we get 6k at the game.

In the mean time Midas, the sports book super computer is in the catacombs deep under the MGM Grande keeping track of all sports stats everywhere. It runs all the book on all the games using proprietary algorithms. It runs 50,000 Monte Carlo simulations of every game averaging the results to arrive at the 3 factors.

The line moves with the money bet to keep it as close as possible. The only way they lose is if nobody bets. They own the juice. They seem to be almost unbeatable yet vulnerable positions exists.

HEARD ON THE STREET:
For football: in general take the dog on the close lines, 1 or 2 pts. It will win a lot.
This is a make or break Saturday for us. As we said at the beginning, We are going to build the bank to take advantage of any miss-priced games in the playoffs. The mighty GAM has taken a nice chunk out of Midas and we hope for another this weekend.

Never count your chickens before they hatch. Vegas is good, very good.

A college kid told me this:
Hot tip for casino visitors: beginners luck is real. If you don’t gamble you will probably win on your first few bets. Make them count and then quit no matter if you are ahead or behind. I doubled my money to $12 the other day and tipped my hat to the Grande Casino as I walked out among the winners.
If we have a bad weekend the bank gets locked down tight. We want to tip our hat to Midas too as we walk out winners. Right now We are in the heat of battle.

Midas vs THE GAM. Game on!

The question being debated in the prestigious GAM Labs headquarters deep under the stands at the Fabulous Fargo Dome is this:

Are sports statistics and their correlation to game outcomes as useful and reliable as a companies financial records and their correlation to its stock value?

One of the key reasons why The GAM is able to spot miss-priced games is its approach to the fundamental analysis. The GAM uses a set of derivatives drawn from the stats. Sagarin uses comparative records and actual winning margins. Teams like the gophers get a huge boost from them because of their strength of schedule. As a result they are often over rated compared to a team like NDSU. Midas seems to use a similar approach.

NDSU gets no boost like that. They are ranked the old fashioned way: they earn it. That’s why Vegas can make huge mistakes: they rely mostly on comparative scores and records. NDSU, A great team playing in a weak division, gets 45 against the Gophers is the kind of mistake they can make. When a team gets 45 the odds on them outright winning are huge, huge, huge.

We have done well finding them. Monmouth might be the latest example. A great team with impressive stats, +28 vs JMU and a good chance to win outright makes a nice proposition when playing with somebody else’s money. We are playing Vegas with their money so we feel good, ready to play.

I was negotiating with one of the Great Indian Nations for oil exploration rights. I was standing in front of the Tribal Council (congress for that country) when the door opened and 3 huge suits walked in. After some whispering we were ushered out and told we would be called back later. Word was those guys were the lawyers for the gambling interests out of “Chicago” by way of Vegas of course. They run the show. I golfed for a couple days on the empty Thermopolis golf course before getting called back. We made medicine.

That was the last time I ever played golf. Terrible game.

The old proverb states you have to go to the money, it won’t come to you. The big city gaming lawyers were certainly going to the money. The GAM is an invention that has taken us to a little of the money too.

MSU May air it out? The 106th ranked passing offense in FCS averaging 165 ypg?
You are not analyzing the game correctly. You are looking at the big picture which is a compilation of all the little pics. I know of at least one game where the cats were over 200 yds passing. 165 can be fatal for opposing teams too if they are the correct 165 yards.

They may not turn to the pass Saturday but the weakness in the Albany D is there.

The GAM has NDSU a 14 point favorite. The Bison can cover 14. This could be a great game for Trey Lance and the Bison receivers. For the Bison this could be what's called a Garrison Finish. Start slow and easy, play hard, finish going away.

ILS @ Cent Ark is a good match-up. Cent Ark comes in almost exclusively a passing team averaging 301 yds/game. The rushing game musters only 92 yds/game. If IlS stops the air attack and musters their own passing game taking advantage of the 278 yds the Bears give away each week through the air ILS should cover the GAM spread of 3.

Montana State is a slight favorite, -3, over Albany. The game promises to be a good one. Both teams may air it out. With the GAM forecasting an O/U of 54 this game may surprise with the over. Looking forward to it. Did the Bobcats launch with the route of Montana or did we see their grand finale?

As far as the spread goes Austin Peay @ Sac State is game of the day with the GAM forecasting Austin a 1 point favorite. Its even but AP does have a slight edge on defense, especially the rushing D. If they shut MSU down on the ground, which is likely, winning by more than 1 is possible for Austin Peay.

Monmouth looked good Saturday. Strong, competitive and well coached they looked prepared for JMU. Both JMU and Monmouth bring stellar offenses that can run, pass and score. JMU only allows 63 yds rushing/game. If that steel wall holds Monmouth will have to pass. In the mean time JMU will control the clock and game.

A clash of MVFC heavyweights will see underdog UNI try and knock-off the Jackrabbits in Brookings. Great town, great stadium, good game between 2 good teams. The Jacks are the better team on paper by a nose. Their typical game is 31-17. A typical game for UNI 23-18. That "over-view" metric clearly shows the SDSU advantages mostly built up earlier in the season. Details show the SDSU running game contributing a lot to the offensive advantage. UNI is getting hot. Maybe the week off will steady the Jacks and they will return to the type of football they played in Minnesota on opening weekend?

SE La @ Montana is forecast by the GAM to be a barn-burner, that is if the elevation doesn't sink South East Louisiana. These 2 teams are as equally matched as any 2 on Saturdays slate of games. Montana has an edge on both sides of the ball. Its slight but its there. If SE LA tires because of the thin air that edge will grow. Montana stands an excellent chance of covering the GAMs 2 pt spread with the win.

Everybody's team to hate, the KSU owls, are in the second round! The match-up could be epic with the Owls 346 yds/game rushing meeting the Weber defense which allows only 107. It could be the pass the elevates the Owls to victory. They don't pass much but if they have to Weber is a good place to do it. They give up 237 yds/game.
MSU gonna "air it out", I don't know what your on, but you should stop
Montana State scores on a nice swing pass. 16-7
