NCAA May Back Off Delaware on Gambling

Post by Col Hogan »

Delaware might not have to worry about losing a playoff home game because the state has approved sports gambling...
The NCAA Executive Committee will vote next month on a proposal recently approved by its championships cabinet that would allow teams that earn the right, through successful competition, to host NCAA games, said Tom Yeager, commissioner of the Colonial Athletic Association. Schools in Delaware still could not host neutral-site events.

Interesting...

Also, the four major leagues and the NCAA are suing Delaware - saying that since they did not have single game betting in 1992 when the federal ban went into place, that single bet gaming was NOT grandfathered in.
